People seek out coaching so they can become more
effective and more successful in their personal or professional lives. The catalyst for seeking coaching can be as varied
as a promotion that requires new skills, a desire to grow more quickly, lack of a suitable mentor, fear of impending job loss,
or a feeling of isolation. Whatever the motivation, people seeking coaching usually have a specific goal in mind that is targeted
to resolving specific issues. They recognize that they need help to move forward and seek feedback to maximize their effort.
My role as a coach is to help people identify the issues both above and below
the surface and to work on resolving both, while learning the skills that make them able to manage their own development.
The issue that sends people looking for coaching may be only the most visible issue that needs resolution. I work to help
people identify the issues they cannot see as well as the ones they have identified.
